We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Workshop Supervisor to join our team at our Perth branch and oversee the maintenance and repair of forklift and access equipment. This role is responsible for coordinating a team of technicians, ensuring the quality of work, and supporting the smooth and efficient operation of the workshop facility. You will play a key role in managing workflow, monitoring job progress, and ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately, and within required timeframes.

Key Responsibilities.

In this role you will be responsible for the following.

- Coordinate technicians working on forklift and access equipment to ensure quality work and on-time delivery.
- Monitor job progress and report status updates to the Service Manager and relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor job costs and report variances or issues as required.
- Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed through ongoing communication and toolbox meetings.
- Ensure required inventory and tooling is available to complete repairs for rental and retail equipment.
- Ensure all workshop documentation is completed accurately and processed in a timely manner.
- Work with the Service Manager to identify training needs and skills development opportunities for the team.
- Identify and communicate opportunities for process and operational improvement.
- Supervise direct reports and support day-to-day workshop operations.
- Carry out additional responsibilities as outlined in role task requirements.

Qualifications and Experience.

The successful candidate will ideally have the following qualifications and experience.

- Strong organisational and time management skills are essential.
- Ability to plan, schedule,



and achieve operational outcomes.
- Robust leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Previous leadership experience (minimum 2 years) in a similar industry.
- Mechanical trade background or relevant technical qualification.
- Strong understanding of workshop operations and maintenance systems.
- Knowledge of OH&S; principles in a workshop environment.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical approach.
- Sound computer skills, particularly MS Word and Excel.
- Strong customer service mindset with a professional approach.
