The Opportunity

- 2-year fixed-term contract to 1 Nov 2028 | Level 6; from $108,021 + 17% super | Full-time, 35 hrs per week.

About The Role

Join the Graduate Research School at UNSW and support the recruitment, admission and commencement of Higher Degree Research candidates participating in industry-engaged PhD programs. This role provides expert advice to applicants, candidates, supervisors, Faculties and Schools on admissions, scholarships and industry engagement requirements. You will interpret complex policies and procedures, assess applications and waivers, coordinate scholarship payments, manage student and admissions data, and contribute to improving systems and processes. You will work across multiple teams and systems, build strong relationships with stakeholders across the University, and help deliver a high-quality experience for candidates and industry partners. This position reports to the HDR Admissions and Scholarships Manager and has a dotted line to the Senior Program Manager (Industry).

You will bring

- Experience providing accurate advice and support in a complex administrative, regulatory or policy environment.
- The ability to interpret and apply complex policies, procedures and legislation.
- Solid organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Highly developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with experience providing customer service to diverse stakeholders.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, and the ability to work confidently across multiple systems.
- Experience contributing to process improvement, reporting or project activities.
- The ability to work collaboratively, take initiative and operate independently in a changing environment.
- Experience in higher education admissions, scholarships, research training or industry-engaged research programs would be highly regarded.
