Nurse Next Door Albury Wodonga is looking for a passionate Registered Nurse to join our team. Depending on your level of leadership experience, we are open to bringing you on as a Care Ambassador (a hybrid of clinical care, mentoring, and coordination) or a Care Designer (taking on a heavier leadership and complex care planning focus).

This isn't a traditional nursing position.

We already have a dedicated Clinical team focused on client care in the home. Instead, you will work independently within a collaborative leadership team, combining your clinical skills with care coordination and community networking.

So, what exactly will you be doing?

Think of this role as a dynamic combination of clinical nurse, care coordinator, mentor, and client advocate. No two days will look exactly the same, but your core focus will include:

- Hands-on Care: Providing direct client care as part of your role,



including both caregiving and nursing visits will be up to 70% of your working hours at times. Depending on the business needs and your specific role level, direct care will be a meaningful part of your weekly hours.
- Clinical Excellence: Completing nursing visits within your scope of practice, with a focus on wound care, catheterisation, medication management, and diabetes management. Training available.
- Care Coordination: Completing client assessments, First Visits, and Care Plan Reviews to develop highly tailored, person-centred care plans.
- Team Support: Assisting with caregiver education, development, and supervision, including supporting clinical competencies.
- Monitoring & Advocacy: Reviewing progress notes, monitoring client wellbeing, and proactively identifying changes, risks, or deterioration.
- Relationship Building: Working closely with clients, families, and healthcare industry contacts (e.g., Discharge Planners, Support At Home Carefinders, NDIS Support Coordinators, Medical Team, Allied Health, Palliative Care Team) to generate referrals.
- Leadership Support: Supporting the wider leadership team with day-to-day service coordination, while participating in a shared, rostered on-call rotation.

What we're looking for

Above everything else, we're looking for a self-led professional who cares deeply about people and takes pride in doing things well .

- Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Clinically confident and comfortable working independently in the community.




- An excellent communicator who can build trust with clients, families, and team members.
- Comfortable providing feedback, coaching, and support to others.
- Robust hands-on skills in areas such as catheterisation, diabetes management, and wound care are highly regarded.
- A residential address within 30 minutes of the Albury Wodonga CBD area.

Please note: This full-time position requires some flexibility and availability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and on-call as required.

Mandatory requirements

- Current AHPRA Registration (RN)
- CPR & First Aid Certification
- Current Australian Driver's License
- National Disability Worker Screener check
- Working With Children Check (Vic and NSW)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- A residential address within 30 minutes of the Albury Wodonga CBD area.
