This role requires a team player who is reliable, self‑motivated, understands their NHVR compliance responsibilities and enjoys driving and working outdoors.
About the role
Long‑distance cattle transport of various combinations both locally and interstate, including regular deliveries. The role suits operators willing to be away from home for regular short periods of time. Operators will be required to help loading and unloading cattle.
About you
- Hold a valid MC license.
- Substantial driving experience (B‑Double/Triple/Road Train), with contactable references.
- BFM certification.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to identify potential faults and defects.
- Responsible attitude caring for truck and trailer assets.
A heavy vehicle medical is required for the successful applicant.
This role is not suitable for those who do not have current work rights within Australia.
Feedlot Livestock Assistant
Princess Royal Feedlot is looking for reliable, enthusiastic,
and competent livestock assistants with a genuine interest in cattle to join the expanding feedlot livestock team in Burra South Australia.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Livestock health & welfare checks.
- Cattle handling.
- Loading and unloading cattle.
- Processing and weighing cattle.
- Treating and vaccinating cattle.
- General cleaning and maintenance duties.
All applicants should possess the following attributes
- Cattle handling skills and ability.
- Ability to identify ill or injured livestock and treat or act accordingly.
- Hold a valid and current car licence.
- Work as part of a team and individually as required.
- Willing to work versatile and extended hours as required.
