This is a varied role with no two days necessarily being the same. You will work across both workshop and mobile jobs, carrying out servicing, diagnostics, repairs and preventative maintenance on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
Key responsibilities
- Vehicle servicing and preventative maintenance
- Mechanical repairs and fault diagnosis
- Electrical and diagnostic troubleshooting
- Brake, suspension and steering repairs
- Engine and driveline repairs
- Inspection and assessment of vehicles
- Mobile breakdown and repair work
- Working on light vehicles, 4WDs, commercial vehicles, trucks and equipment
- Maintaining a clean, safe and skilled work workplace
- Communicating professionally with customers and the team
About you
- A Trade Certificate in Automotive/Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology
- Previous industry experience
- Strong mechanical diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Good communication and customer service skills
- A strong focus on safety and quality
- A reliable, positive and qualified attitude
- The ability to take ownership of jobs from diagnosis through to completion
- Experience with diesel engines, 4WDs, light commercial vehicles, trucks, hydraulics or machinery will be highly regarded
