About the role Tunuba is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance / Administration Officer to join our dynamic team of Rangers in Rockhampton, Queensland. This is either a part time or full-time role (estimate 25 hours per week as a minimum which can be undertaken during "school hours" or via other flexible arrangement as mutually agreed) and will be responsible for providing key financial and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of our operations.
What you will be doing
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records including payroll processing, accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations
Financial reporting and budgeting as required including support of the month-end and year-end financial close process as required by management
General administration duties such as data entry, database management, filing, and responding to customer and supplier enquiries, assistance with office documentation and submissions
Managing office supplies and liaising with suppliers to ensure stock levels are maintained
Coordinating office meetings and events, including preparing agendas and minutes
Responding to general enquiries and providing administrative support to our Rangers
Contributing to the implementation of office policies and procedures
What we're looking for
Proven experience in an administration or finance support role, preferably within a small to medium-sized business
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications,
particularly Excel and Word
Knowledge of accounting software and financial management systems (Xero highly desirable)
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling financial information
Skilled communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A practical approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn
Reliability and a strong work ethic
Relevant qualifications such as a Certificate III or IV in Administration or Business, or equivalent experience
