Role Description

The Health Insurance Specialist is a full time hybrid role based in Melbourne, VIC, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. In this role, the specialist will guide customers through health insurance options, explain coverage details and policy terms, and assist with plan selection based on individual needs and budgets. Daily responsibilities include handling inbound and outbound calls, responding to inquiries, providing accurate information on health insurance products, and ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the sales and service process.



The specialist will maintain up-to-date knowledge of health insurance regulations and product changes, complete necessary documentation, and collaborate with team members to meet sales targets while adhering to compliance and quality standards.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to engage with diverse clients and explain complex information clearly.
- Candidates should possess Health Insurance and Insurance knowledge, including policy structures, coverage terminology, and regulatory considerations.
- Candidates should possess Sales skills, with experience in needs-based selling, closing techniques, and meeting or exceeding performance targets.
- Candidates should possess basic computer literacy and CRM or contact center system experience to manage customer records and workflows efficiently.
- Relevant experience in health insurance, financial services, or telesales is highly beneficial, as is any certification or training in insurance or related fields.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, manage time independently, and adhere to compliance, privacy, and ethical standards.
