At Healius, we all have one thing in common: we’re passionate about making a difference to the health of Australians. Right now, it’s an exciting time to join us as we transform into a stronger, more agile organisation focused on excellent customer and patient experiences, smarter ways of working, and providing a great place to work.

You’ll be at the heart of keeping our clinics running smoothly by ensuring the right people are in the right place at the right time. If you love problem-solving, thrive under pressure, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same, this role is for you!

You’ll join a close-knit team that genuinely enjoys working together, celebrates wins and milestones, and supports one another through challenges.

About Us

Healius has an expansive network of over 100 medical laboratories and 2000 patient collection centres operating across metropolitan, regional and remote Australia. We provide 1 in every 3 pathology services in Australia, extending from exclusively servicing some of Australia’s largest and most complex private and public hospitals, to small Indigenous Australian communities. This means that you will be working in a business large enough to offer you job stability & security, interstate mobility and the chance to fulfil your career ambitions.

About the Role

We are seeking a Rostering Officer to join our high-performing Rostering Team and help keep our vital healthcare services running smoothly. As a Rostering Officer, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our clinics are staffed effectively. You’ll manage rosters, respond to last-minute changes, and balance competing priorities.

Key responsibilities:

- Ensure rosters within designated areas are available at least six weeks in advance
- Create and maintain staff profiles in Workforce Dimensions (WFD) and ensure accuracy of position, hours, award, area, and shift
- Timely and accurate data entry of any changes to shifts in WFD
- Action updates or changes to rosters due to personal leave, shift swap requests, or unforeseen requirements
- Manage vacancies within Collections in a timely and appropriate manner
- Monitor casual employees: availability, declined shifts, and variability of areas/shifts worked
- Utilise Reliever Collectors to the full extent of their contracted hours within the most efficient radius of their nominated hub
- Liaise with the Commercial Team promptly if vacancies cannot be filled or only partially filled

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be a natural problem-solver who can think on your feet and stay calm under pressure. You may enjoy puzzles and patterns or have a strong analytical mind that thrives on logic.

These are the type of attributes & skills you would possess:

- Rostering or scheduling experience preferred, but not essential
- Experience with Kronos or other rostering/scheduling systems is highly regarded
- Resilient and adaptable, with a positive mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
