How you’ll make an impact

As the Head of Marketplace & Operations , you will play a pivotal role in ensuring Sidekicker delivers an exceptional experience for both Customers and Sidekicks, while operating safely, efficiently and at scale.

You will provide strategic leadership across Marketplace & Operations, including Supply Operations, Customer Support, Safety and HR. You will be responsible for ensuring the marketplace has the right supply to meet customer demand, our Customers and Sidekicks receive a high-quality experience, and our people, processes and systems are supported by strong operational, safety and people foundations.

You will combine a strong commercial and strategic mindset with hands‑on operational leadership. Using data, technology and customer insight, you will identify opportunities, solve complex problems and continuously improve the way Sidekicker operates.

You will lead and develop high-performing teams, create clarity and accountability across your functions, and foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety and high performance.

Ultimately, you will help Sidekicker scale sustainably, balancing growth,



customer and Sidekick experience, operational efficiency, people outcomes and safety to maintain our position as a trusted leader in the labour hire industry.

What you’ll do

Functional Leadership

- Provide strategic direction and leadership across Marketplace & Operations, including Supply Operations, Customer Support and Safety.

- Set clear priorities, establish accountability and ensure each function is aligned to Sidekicker’s broader strategic objectives.

- Lead, coach and develop high-performing teams, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

- Balance commercial performance, customer and Sidekick experience, operational efficiency, people outcomes and safety and risk.

- Act as a key member of the leadership team, contributing to broader business strategy and decision‑making.

Marketplace & Operations

- Own the operational performance of the Sidekicker marketplace, ensuring we have the right supply to meet customer demand and deliver strong fill rates and service levels.

- Lead Supply Operations to ensure Sidekicks are effectively activated, engaged and matched with suitable opportunities.

- Continuously improve operational processes, systems and ways of working to enable Sidekicker to scale efficiently.

- Lead operational planning and execution through periods of high demand and peak trading.

- Identify and implement opportunities to leverage technology, automation and AI to improve operational efficiency and scalability.

Customer & Sidekick Experience

- Oversee the Customer Support function and ensure Customers and Sidekicks receive a high-quality, consistent and efficient experience.

- Identify key points of friction across the Customer and Sidekick journey and lead initiatives to improve the overall experience.

- Establish effective feedback loops to ensure insights from Customers and Sidekicks inform operational, product and business priorities.

- Partner with Product and Technology to translate customer and operational needs into scalable product improvements.

Safety, Risk & Compliance

- Provide strategic leadership for Sidekicker’s Safety function and ensure strong safety foundations are embedded across the business.

- Ensure appropriate systems, processes and controls are in place to identify, assess and manage operational and WHS risks.

- Oversee incident management, safety training, worker wellbeing initiatives and WHS compliance.





- Ensure Sidekicker continues to meet its obligations as a labour hire business and maintains appropriate safety and compliance standards.

- Partner with Legal, SEEK and external advisers on safety, regulatory and operational risk matters.

- Embed a strong culture of safety and risk management across Sidekicker.

People & HR

- Provide direction and support across people, culture and employee relations matters for the Sidekicker HQ team.

- Own the strategy for strengthening Sidekick engagement and connection to Sidekicker beyond individual shifts and jobs.

- Lead initiatives that improve the Sidekick community experience, including rewards and recognition, training and development, communications and engagement initiatives.

- Ensure Sidekicks have appropriate channels and support to raise concerns and issues, and oversee the effective resolution of complex matters

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across Sidekicker and SEEK.

- Communicate operational performance, opportunities, risks and priorities clearly to senior leadership.

- Represent Marketplace & Operations in key business forums and contribute to company‑wide decision‑making.

- Create strong collaboration between Marketplace & Operations and other functions across the business.

About you

Experience

- Proven experience in a senior leadership role overseeing multiple operational functions, ideally within a technology-enabled, marketplace, staffing or similarly fast‑paced business.

- Demonstrated experience leading high-performing teams and creating clarity, accountability and strong performance across diverse functions.

- Strong commercial and strategic mindset, with the ability to balance growth, customer experience, operational performance and risk.

- Experience managing complex operational, people safety or risk‑related issues.

- Demonstrated experience leading cross‑functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders across an organisation.

- Experience in a labour hire, staffing, marketplace or regulated environment is highly desirable.

Skills & Capabilities

- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire, develop and motivate people.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

- Solid commercial, analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations and implement effective solutions.

- Strong understanding of operational risk, WHS and people management principles.

- Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities and drive execution in a fast‑paced environment.

- Proficient in using technology and data for analysis, reporting and decision‑making.
