The Role

The Student Support Officer (SSO) works closely with the Student Services Manager, Year Coordinators, and school support staff to assist with administrative processes and provision of information to students, staff, and parents, ensuring a responsive and effective student support service.

Responsibilities of SSOs include early intervention support to individuals and/or groups of students providing information for multi-disciplinary team meetings, case conferences and other relevant processes. You will maintain information and records, collate and prepare information required for case management, and assist with implementation strategies and student support programs. Additionally, the successful applicant will collaborate with staff, parents/guardians, and relevant community organisations, and may assist with school attendance strategies.

The SSO will ideally have a history of reliability and relatability,



building and maintaining relationships within the school community and with other key stakeholders, and under direction participate in crisis management and response duties as required to ensure the best outcomes for young people.
