The Chance

We are seeking a commercially minded and technically strong Head of Finance Business Partnering to help transform Finance into a strategic partner that supports profitable growth and better business decisions.

Working closely with business unit and functional leaders, you will provide meaningful insight into financial performance, profitability, pricing and commercial opportunities. You will also lead improvements across finance systems, billing, reporting, data, controls and processes.

This is a pivotal leadership opportunity for an experienced finance professional who can combine strategic thinking, commercial insight and sound financial governance.

Key Responsibilities

- Partner with senior leaders to provide commercial insight, constructive challenge and financial decision support.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and performance analysis.
- Own profitability, cost allocation, margin and pricing analysis across services, customers, business units and offerings.
- Develop financial models and business cases to support investment, growth and resource allocation decisions.




- Identify financial risks and opportunities and provide practical recommendations.
- Support accurate financial reporting, balance-sheet integrity, audit requirements and financial controls.
- Improve cashflow forecasting and working-capital performance.
- Lead finance transformation across systems, processes, data, reporting and automation.
- Translate complex financial information into clear, practical business insights.
- Lead and develop team capability while strengthening alignment across Finance, Sales, Service Delivery, Procurement and Technology.

Requirements

You will bring:

- Substantial senior-level experience in finance business partnering, commercial finance, FP&A;, financial control or finance management.
- A CA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification.
- Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, cost allocation and financial modelling.
- Experience with month-end close, management and statutory reporting, balance-sheet reconciliations, audit support and financial controls.
- Working knowledge of Australian tax and statutory finance obligations, cashflow forecasting, treasury and working-capital management.




- Experience partnering with and influencing senior stakeholders outside Finance.
- Experience improving or implementing finance systems, processes and reporting tools.
- Knowledge of billing, revenue recognition and order-to-cash processes.
- Strong leadership, communication and analytical skills.

Experience within an MSP, technology, telecommunications or recurring-revenue services environment will be highly regarded. Experience with PSA, CRM, ERP and billing platforms, workflow automation or external audit coordination would also be advantageous.
