Level 1 Supervision | Private/Mixed Billing | Flexible Sessions | Northbridge Healthcare is partnering with an established and progressive medical practice in South Yarra to recruit an experienced General Practitioner with the capacity to provide Level 1 supervision.

This is an excellent opportunity for a GP who enjoys teaching, mentoring and supporting developing doctors, while continuing to maintain their own clinical workload and patient base.

The practice has a predominantly young, professional and family-oriented patient population and provides a varied general practice setting. You’ll be supported by experienced nursing and administration teams, modern facilities and a Practice Manager with more than 20 years of experience.

The Supervision Opportunity





The successful GP will provide appropriate Level 1 clinical supervision, guidance and mentoring to a developing doctor while continuing their own clinical practice.

Your supervision responsibilities will include:

- Providing direct clinical supervision and appropriate oversight
- Being available for clinical advice and case discussions
- Reviewing consultations and patient management where required
- Supporting clinical decision-making and appropriate referrals
- Providing regular, constructive feedback and mentoring
- Helping the doctor develop clinical confidence, competence and independence
- Participating in relevant teaching and professional development
- Working closely with the Practice Manager and clinical team to maintain appropriate governance and patient safety

The practice aims to provide a safe and supportive learning environment while ensuring the supervising GP retains their own clinical autonomy, earning capacity and flexibility.

Your Clinical Practice Alongside your supervision responsibilities, you can maintain your own patient base and clinical interests.

The practice provides a broad range of general practice presentations, including:

- Family medicine
- Chronic disease management
- Women’s and men’s health
- Preventative medicine
- Mental health
- Acute presentations
- General primary healthcare

Sessions can be structured around your availability, with appropriate time incorporated for supervision, teaching and case discussions.

About You

- Hold FRACGP,



FACRRM or an equivalent recognised qualification
- Hold current AHPRA registration
- Have the experience and qualifications required to provide Level 1 GP supervision – MANDATORY
- Have a genuine interest in teaching, mentoring and developing doctors
- Demonstrate strong clinical judgement and commitment to patient safety
- Be comfortable providing clinical oversight, guidance and constructive feedback
- Have a collaborative, professional and ethical approach
- Be committed to high-quality, patient-centred general practice

Previous experience in GP supervision, registrar training or medical education will be highly regarded.
