Job Description
Project Managers planand manage the delivery of projects. The Senior ICT Project Manager will beresponsible for the management of the Infrastructure Running Costs and Capitalbudget expenditure and providing strategic advice to procurement, business andICT teams on the acquisition of ICT hardware, software and related services,overseeing investment priorities and infrastructure refresh programs

Key duties andresponsibilities
- Provide strategicsourcing, procurement and commercial advice relating to major IT projectsand other procurements as required.
- Under thedirection of the National Manager will advise vendor negotiations anddevelop negotiations strategies and tactics.
- Provide advice toensure that the agreed commercial terms are in the best long-terminterests of the department.
- Conduct commercialrisks assessment ensuring risks are identified and effectively managed.
- Developcomprehensive reports as required.
- Contribute tosourcing and procurement strategies and plans as required.
- Develop necessaryprocurement documentation as required.
- Liaise withinternal and external stakeholders as required
- Assist inknowledge transfer and building capability for APS staff
- Lead, manage anddeliver programs administered by the agency and report on programperformance to ensure ongoing program effectiveness.
- Providecomprehensive portfolio program management and oversight, with a key focusbeing financial governance, tracking and reporting of budgetary andexpenditure data at both a portfolio and project level.
- Negotiate, engage,and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders todeliver program services, build service delivery capability and promotethe agency's services.
- Provide specialistadvice, procedural guidance, and interpretation to staff, includingstrategic advice and operational intelligence to the Executive whereappropriate.
Knowledge / Qualifications
- Demonstratedexperience in ICT cost analysis and optimisation within the Public Sector
- Demonstratedexperience in investment planning and policy within the Public Sector
- Demonstratedexperience in establishing ICT cost management teams within the PublicSector
- Demonstratedexperience in establishing governance and control frameworks for themanagement of ICT running costs within the Public Sector
- Demonstratedexperience in implementing ICT Cost transparency solutions within thePublic Sector.
- Demonstratedexperience in producing Executive performance reporting, includingbenefits realisation tracking.
