Executive Business Partner to Founder & CEO

Caringbah | Full-time | Flexible Hybrid

Maybe you have already had the first successful act of your career. And maybe you can feel that your best work is not behind you.
You’ve worked around serious people. Maybe it was a CEO, Managing Director, Partner or Entrepreneur. You know how to handle pressure, confidential information, complex calendars, travel, senior stakeholders and the hundred invisible things that keep an executive world moving.
People trust you. You know how to get things done. You’ve probably had moments where the person you supported stopped worrying about something entirely because you owned it.
But maybe you don’t want another decade of corporate layers, approval chains, politics and board packs.
You don’t necessarily need a bigger title.
You want a bigger reason.
I’m Doza, Founder & CEO of The Geronimo Academy and Geronimo Ventures. We’re building a quick-growing, media-led company in the health and wellness industry, alongside books, original IP, podcasts, YouTube, PR, speaking, partnerships and new ventures.
My world outside the core company is expanding too: property, investments, collaborations, publishing, interesting relationships and the opportunities that come with building a more visible company and founder brand
I need an exceptional Executive Partner beside me who can help make that whole world work.
About the Role
The mission is simple:
Make me more capable of doing the work only I can do.
Not by becoming busier around me. By creating an incredibly well-designed operating system around my time, attention, relationships, energy and priorities.
This is much bigger than diary management.
You’ll create an operating system around my time, attention, relationships, energy and priorities. Making things lighter, clearer, calmer and more effective.
What the work actually looks like:
Protect my time and capacity — managing a complex calendar, priorities, preparation, travel and meeting load while protecting deep work, recovery and the things that genuinely require my attention.
Own important relationships — following up, making introductions, keeping important relationships warm and representing me exceptionally well.
Move founder-led projects — helping move media, podcasts, publishing, PR, speaking, partnerships, collaborations, events and strategic projects forward.
Broader Founder Office coordination — helping coordinate selected property, investment and new venture matters alongside the appropriate advisers and specialists.
Build an intelligent Founder Office — using technology, automation and simple systems to remove low-value administration and make the Founder Office run better.
Execution & follow-through — turning conversations into actions, closing loops and making sure important things actually land.
When you tell me something is handled,
I want to be able to stop thinking about it.
Who We’re Looking For
You may currently be a Senior Executive Assistant, Executive Business Partner, Founder Associate, Business Manager, Private EA , or the trusted right hand to a CEO, Managing Director, Partner or entrepreneur.
Your title matters less than the evidence.
You’ve operated close to senior people in a high-trust environment. You’re comfortable with complexity, discretion, senior stakeholders and competing priorities and your experience goes beyond managing a diary and inbox.
You’re commercially switched on, digitally fluent, highly resourceful and exceptionally good with people.
You build relationships naturally. You remember names. You follow up. You’re comfortable picking up the phone and finding the person who can make something happen.
If we need a brilliant publicist, lawyer, property person, photographer, podcast guest, restaurant, partnership contact or somebody who knows somebody, your brain goes:
“I reckon I can solve this in two calls.”
But being great with people isn’t enough, you are also a Finisher
Charm without execution will not work here. When you say something is handled, I need to stop thinking about it. You close loops. You notice details. You remember commitments. You can hear ten ideas and work out which two matter. You do not create systems because systems make you feel useful. Sometimes the answer is a workflow. Sometimes it is a checklist. Sometimes it is one phone call. Good judgment is knowing the difference.
You close loops. You notice details. You remember commitments. You simplify, solve and finish.
What We’ll Value Most
High agency. You don’t come to me with every problem. You investigate, use judgement, make the call and solve what you reasonably can.
Great judgement. You can hear ten ideas and work out which two actually matter. You know when something needs a system, when it needs a conversation and when it just needs one phone call.
Calm around intensity. I move quickly. I think out loud. I challenge. I get excited about opportunities. You don’t add nervous energy to that environment. You get clearer as the pace increases.
Backbone. Being great at this job doesn’t mean always saying yes to the Founder.
Sometimes it means saying:
“No. That isn’t what you said mattered this quarter.”
Or:
“Friday has twelve things in it. I’ve protected the three that actually matter.”
Warm, but strong. Helpful, but not subservient. Confident, without needing to dominate.
Contemporary tech fluency. AI and technology should interest you rather than intimidate you. You learn software quickly,
use tools like ChatGPT naturally and look for smarter ways to remove unnecessary work.
This Probably Isn’t For You If…
You need every instruction documented before you can move.
Rapid change consistently unsettles you.
You avoid difficult conversations or need constant reassurance.
You’d rather send six emails than make one phone call.
You love building process more than solving the actual problem.
You take direct feedback personally.
Or you’re mainly looking for a valuable next job before the job after that.
There’s nothing wrong with any of those things.
None of those things make somebody wrong. They just make this the wrong seat.
What Makes This Opportunity Different
I plan in three-year visions. I do not plan three-year relationships.
I like doing long-term things with long-term people.
My ambition isn’t that you join Geronimo, become a better EA and eventually leave for another EA role.
If this works incredibly well, the role should grow with you.
Initially, you’ll learn me, my priorities and the rhythm of the Founder Office. Over time, ideally you begin building a small Founder Office underneath you so that lower-level coordination, admin and logistics move away from you while you move higher into relationships, opportunities, strategic projects, partnerships and roadmap management.
Eventually, this could become a genuine Founder Office Lead role.
I can’t tell you exactly what the org chart looks like five years from now. That’s part of the opportunity.
You’ll get unusual exposure to entrepreneurship, media, books, publishing, strategic partnerships, property, investments and the messy reality of building companies.
You’ll meet fascinating people. You’ll sit in interesting rooms. You’ll see ideas turn into businesses, deals, content, partnerships and opportunities.
You’ll be challenged. You’ll be supported. You’ll be trusted.
And if you’re exceptional, I want the role to grow as quickly as you do.
Tell us about a time you solved an important problem for an executive, founder or team before they needed to chase you. What happened?
Your founder has accepted four meetings on Friday, is flying interstate Thursday night and then tells you about another “great opportunity” they want to squeeze in. Talk us through exactly what you would do.
What is something you’ve built, organised, negotiated or simply made happen that you’re unusually proud of?
I am looking for the person I may never need to replace.
Do not just assist the founder. Help build the world around him and, over time, the team around that world.
