Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer we are recruiting for an experienced Mining Engineer - Mid-Term Planning to join Technical Services team. With a long life of mine, there are numerous opportunities for a medium‑term engineer to deliver significant value, gain exposure to the diverse challenges/opportunities, work closely with multiple stakeholders and fast‑track one’s own skill development.
In this role, you will:
- Drive the development and optimisation of mid‑term plans.
- Develop secure and robust stage plans using Maptek Vulcan (Similar software experience is valued)
- Assist with monthly scheduling using SPRY.
- Opportunity to grow and develop SPRY skills
- EOM reporting and reconciliation
- Ensure alignment with business objectives, operational efficiency and resource maximisation
About You:
- Degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
- Experience in open cut coal mine planning.
- Proficient in mine planning software.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience is a plus.
