We're looking for an experienced Senior Tax Consultant to review and finalise income tax returns for a portfolio of predominantly high net wealth individual clients. This role suits a senior practitioner who wants technical, high-calibre work without the demands of a traditional full-time role — we offer genuine flexibility around how you engage with us. Our workflow is built around purpose-designed software that automates data collection and input so your focus is on the parts that actually require expertise: technical review, judgement calls and sign-off.

Key responsibilities

Review and finalise income tax returns prepared through our automated workflow, for high net wealth individuals

Identify and resolve complex tax issues (capital gains, trust distributions, foreign income, negative gearing, etc.)

Exercise qualified judgement on positions where automation flags ambiguity or risk

Liaise with clients or their advisers as needed to clarify information or explain outcomes





Ensure returns meet ATO requirements and firm quality standards before lodgement

About you

CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent), with strong technical tax knowledge

Significant experience preparing and/or reviewing returns for high net wealth or complex individual clients

Comfortable working with tax software/automation tools, and giving feedback to improve them

Sound judgement, attention to detail, and confidence signing off on your own work

Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision

We're flexible on how this role is structured to suit the right person:

Part-time employment (agreed days/hours per week)

Casual (as-needed, paid per session or return)

Consulting/contractor basis (hourly or per-return rates)
