Residential Care Officer / Senior Team Leader

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Residential Care Officer / Senior Team Leader to coordinate and oversee the delivery of high-quality, individualised support within our residential group home environment. This role combines direct participant support with team leadership responsibilities. You will work closely with participants, families, Disability Support Workers, allied health professionals and external providers to ensure support is delivered safely, consistently and in accordance with individual support plans and NDIS requirements.

Key responsibilities

- Develop, implement and review individualised care and support plans.
- Monitor participant health, wellbeing, progress and changing support needs.
- Promote participant independence, dignity, choice, control and community participation.
- Provide guidance, support and supervision to Disability Support Workers.
- Monitor the quality and consistency of support delivered within the residential setting.
- Identify and respond to participant risks, welfare concerns and changes in needs.
- Support participants with informed decision-making and dignity of risk.
- Coordinate community, social, educational, health and welfare services.
- Communicate and collaborate with families, allied health professionals and external service providers.




- Maintain accurate participant records, progress notes, incident reports and other required documentation.

About you

- Diploma in Community Services or a relevant qualification in a related field.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current Police Check.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle, where required.
- Minimum 3 years full-time or 5 years part time relevant experience in disability, community services, residential care or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience providing direct support to people with disabilities.
- Experience with participant assessment, care planning and implementation of support strategies.
- Understanding of the NDS framework and NDS Practice Standards.
