This is an opportunity to use your practical experience in a Monday-to-Friday, office-based position where you’ll help other solar professionals solve problems, understand new technology and get better results for their customers.

Uplift Recruitment is partnering with a growing renewable technology business to appoint a Technical Support Specialist to its Sydney team.

You don’t need previous office, software or customer success experience. If you understand solar or electrical systems, communicate well and enjoy helping people, the business will provide the training needed to make a successful transition.

The role

You will work with solar installers, electricians and renewable energy businesses using an innovative technology platform.

Rather than completing installations yourself, you’ll become a trusted point of contact for customers, helping them understand the technology, work through technical questions and get the greatest possible value from the platform.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Onboarding new customers and helping them get started

- Delivering product demonstrations and practical training

- Supporting solar installers and electrical professionals with technical questions

- Troubleshooting issues and coordinating solutions with internal teams





- Explaining technical information in a straightforward and practical way

- Building strong relationships with customers across the solar industry

- Checking in with customers and encouraging ongoing use of the platform

- Sharing customer feedback with the product and development teams

- Maintaining accurate customer notes and activity within the CRM

About you

This opportunity could suit someone currently working as a:

- Electrician or electrical tradesperson

- Solar installer or solar electrician

- Solar service or commissioning technician

- Solar roofer or experienced installation team member

- Technical support specialist within the solar or electrical industry

- Solar designer, estimator or technical sales professional

You will ideally bring:

- Hands-on knowledge of solar, battery or electrical systems

- Experience working with solar installers, electricians or renewable energy products

- The confidence to speak with customers and explain technical concepts

- Good problem‑solving skills and a practical approach

- Basic confidence using computers and learning new technology

- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills

- A genuine desire to move into a long‑term office‑based career

An electrical licence or solar accreditation would be highly regarded but is not essential if you have robust practical industry knowledge.

Previous customer success, account management or software experience is not required.
