Leading Hand Mechanic / 2IC - Tyre & Auto Service Workshop

TWJ Automotive Services Pty Ltd - Rouse Hill NSW

This is a hands-on leadership position working closely with the workshop manager/owner to help oversee the day-to-day running of the workshop while continuing to carry out mechanical repairs and servicing.

Key responsibilities

- Carrying out mechanical servicing, repairs and diagnostics
- Tyre fitting, balancing, wheel alignment and general tyre-related work
- Helping coordinate the workshop and allocate jobs
- Supporting and assisting other mechanics and apprentices
- Supporting and assisting the workshop manager and filling in
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety
- Carrying out vehicle inspections and roadworthy-related work
- Communicating with customers when required
- Helping ensure jobs are completed efficiently and to a high standard
- Stepping up and taking responsibility for the workshop when required

About you

- A qualified and experienced mechanic




- Minimum 5 years' automotive mechanical experience
- Holds a current NSW Pink Slip (AIS) licence
- Holds a current unrestricted Australian driver's licence
- Confident diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicles
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, organised and takes pride in their work
- Has strong attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship
- Confident communicating with customers and team members
- Looking to take the next step into a Leading Hand / 2IC position

Full time, permanent position. Monday - Friday only, have the weekends to yourself
