About the Centre

Located in the heart of Gunnedah, Oz Education Gunnedah is a warm, welcoming and inclusive early learning centre caring for children aged 0–6 years.

Our dedicated team provides a play-based learning environment where children are encouraged to explore, discover and develop at their own pace. With spacious outdoor areas, hands‑on experiences and a strong focus on relationships, we aim to create a place where every child feels safe, supported and excited to learn.

We are looking for a Centre Director who shares this approach and is passionate about creating a positive experience for children, families and educators.

The Position

Are you an experienced early childhood leader who is passionate about creating a positive environment for children, families and educators?





We are looking for a dedicated Centre Director to lead our Gunnedah centre. This is an opportunity to be part of a supportive team and play an important role in creating a welcoming, engaging and high-quality early learning environment.

We’re looking for someone who can lead with warmth, build strong relationships with families and educators, and support the team to deliver meaningful learning experiences for children.

Child Safety Commitment

At Oz Education, the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of every child is at the heart of everything we do.

We are committed to maintaining a strong child‑safe culture where children feel safe, respected and supported. All team members are expected to understand and actively uphold their child protection and safeguarding responsibilities within an early childhood setting.

Current Child Protection Training

Understanding of child protection and safeguarding responsibilities

Knowledge of mandatory reporting obligations and relevant child protection legislation

Understanding of professional boundaries and appropriate behaviours when working with children

Ability to recognise and respond appropriately to indicators of abuse, harm or neglect

Understanding of privacy and confidentiality requirements relating to children and families

Experience implementing and following child‑safe policies and procedures

Screening Requirements

The successful applicant will be required to complete comprehensive screening, including:

National Police Check

Qualification verification

Professional reference checks

Employment is subject to satisfactory completion of all required child safety screening and clearance processes.
