OVERVIEW National Institute of Technology Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Internship Placement Coordinator based in Perth. The institute delivers vocational education and training courses in Information Technology, Engineering, Project Management, and Business Management, and works with universities and higher education providers to support pathway programs and Professional Year programs. This role focuses on coordinating internship opportunities for international graduates and connecting candidates with workplace experiences that support career development. The position suits a professional with experience in relationship management, sales, partnerships, recruitment, or business development who enjoys engaging with employers and supporting participants through internship placement processes.

Key responsibilities

- Build and maintain relationships with employers to secure internship placement opportunities
- Manage and strengthen partnerships with host organisations
- Represent the institute at industry forums, networking events, university open days, and employer engagement activities
- Promote programs and identify new partnership opportunities
- Assess, interview, and shortlist candidates for internship placements
- Match candidates with suitable host organisations
- Deliver internship briefing sessions and guide participants through placement expectations
- Work with internal teams and external partners to support smooth program delivery
- Conduct workplace visits to support interns and host companies
- Monitor internship progress and resolve issues when required




- Coach participants in employability and workplace skills
- Support resume development, interview preparation, skilled communication, and job search strategies
- Participate in occasional Saturday work and evening industry events

Requirements

- Experience in business development, sales, partnerships, recruitment, or a related relationship-focused role
- Ability to build trust and maintain long-term stakeholder relationships
- Strong customer service focus with an emphasis on outcomes and value creation
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Eligibility to work full-time in Australia
- Computer literacy including Microsoft 365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
