OVERVIEW The University of Western Australia is seeking an Admissions Officer to join a high-performing admissions team on a full-time fixed-term appointment for 12 months in Perth. This role supports the assessment and processing of domestic and international students applications across undergraduate and postgraduate programs while contributing to a student-focused experience within higher education. The position sits within the Directorate of Student Success and Progression in the Education Portfolio at uwa. The team supports students from admissions and enrolment through to graduation and works closely with academic and professional staff to deliver efficient education services.

Key responsibilities

- Assess and process domestic and international students undergraduate and postgraduate applications
- Review applications through to offer generation and issuance
- Evaluate academic qualifications and calculate GPAs
- Assess English language proficiency

Requirements

- Verify the authenticity of supporting documentation
- Provide advice and support to applicants, academic staff, and stakeholders
- Contribute to the delivery of efficient admissions services
- Maintain accuracy in high-volume processing environments
- Support student-focused admissions processes aligned with university goals





Requirements

- Relevant tertiary qualification or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Demonstrated experience in a complex administrative environment
- Strong attention to detail and highly developed numerical reasoning skills
- Robust organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to provide professional advice and respond to complex enquiries
- Knowledge of domestic and international education systems and qualification frameworks
- Strong digital literacy across business systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to complete required declarations under the National Higher Education Code to Prevent and Respond to Gender-based Violence
- Current National Police Clearance required prior to appointment
