Occupational/Behavioural/Speech Therapist - Innovative Youth Program Role

Registered Occupational Therapist / Behavioural Therapist (BSP) / Speech Pathologist (Part-Time) for an innovative Youth Disability program

About the Role

Move Through is seeking an Occupational Therapist, Behavioural Therapist or Speech Pathologist to join our team on a part-time basis, working within our youth disability day program .

This role involves supporting young people aged 12–30 with low support needs in a group-based setting, focusing on social connection, life skills, and emotional development. You will also have a small 1-1 caseload with a max of 3 appointments per day.

You will work closely with our MDT team to facilitate and evolve a dynamic, engaging program designed to build confidence, independence, and meaningful peer relationships. Think of a creative & explorative approach to therapeutic support.

Key Responsibilities

- Create, facilitate and support group-based activities for young people using your specific discipline

- Promote social inclusion, confidence, and peer connection

- Support development of emotional regulation and life skills

- Assist with case work (e.g. job readiness, applications, life admin)

- Create unique pathways for young people who are ready to take the next big steps in their life

- Independently manage your 1-1 clients on-site , with the support of the wider team

About You

- Relevant qualification in Occupational Therapy,



Psychology, Behavioural Therapy or similar (required)

- Registration with relevant body (AASW, AHPRA etc.) allowing you to practice + Police & WWCC (or willing to obtain before starting) (required)

- Experience (or strong interest) working with neurodivergent individuals and/or intellectual and psychosocial disabilities

- Passion for working with young people

- Ability to work in a fast paced, high energy environment each day

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- A strengths-based, person-centred approach

- Willingness to contribute ideas and be part of a collaborative team

Role Details

- 2-3 days per week depending on the candidate with possibility to progress to full time with increasing caseload

- Program hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm
