Job Overview

Resource Corner IT is seeking an experienced Senior Platform / DevOps Architect to lead enterprise platform engineering and CI/CD modernization initiatives in Sydney. The role focuses on designing a GitHub Enterprise Cloud (GHEC) foundation, establishing scalable DevOps standards, and supporting the migration and modernization of enterprise delivery pipelines.

The successful candidate will provide architectural leadership across GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bitbucket Server, CI/CD, DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code, secrets management, and cloud platforms . The position requires deep expertise in reusable GitHub Actions workflows, self-hosted runners, enterprise security tooling, policy-as-code, and complex Jenkins-to-Actions migration.

Key Responsibilities

- Design the GitHub Enterprise Cloud (GHEC) foundation, including organization and repository topology.
- Establish SSO/SCIM identity integration and enterprise access controls.
- Define GitHub Rulesets, branch protection, CODEOWNERS strategies, and marketplace/actions allowlist governance.
- Design and maintain reusable GitHub Actions workflows for Java/Maven, Node/TypeScript, Python, containers, Terraform, and other technology archetypes.
- Establish workflow versioning and reference-based consumption using reusable workflows.




- Implement mechanisms for detecting workflow drift and maintaining platform consistency.
- Design self-hosted runner topology with residency-aware architecture and Azure/AWS network connectivity.
- Integrate enterprise security and development tooling, including GHAS, security scanners, Vault, CyberArk, and Artifactory.
- Define standards for Jenkins-to-GitHub Actions migration .
- Establish approaches for secrets re-binding, shared-library equivalence, trigger mapping, and artifact handling.
- Define strategies for Git LFS and artifact storage for large in-repository binaries.
- Act as the design authority for complex pipelines that cannot be fully migrated through automated conversion.
- Review AI-generated pull requests for architectural quality, security, and technical soundness.
- Partner with platform and security teams to ensure enterprise requirements are met.
- Prepare comprehensive platform documentation and handover materials for BAU operations.
- Develop ADRs, technical standards, runbooks, and architectural documentation.
- Support enterprise CI/CD architecture, environment strategies, promotion models, and policy-as-code.
- Contribute to cloud migration, DevSecOps, automation, and platform engineering initiatives.

Requirements & Qualifications

- 12+ years of platform / DevOps engineering experience .
- 4+ years of deep GitHub Actions experience , including reusable workflows, composite actions, and self-hosted runners at scale.
- Expert knowledge of Jenkins internals , including declarative and scripted pipelines,



shared libraries, multibranch pipelines, and trigger graphs.
- Strong experience with Bitbucket Server administration .
- Extensive enterprise CI/CD architecture experience.
- Strong knowledge of promotion models, environment strategies, and secrets management.
- Experience implementing policy-as-code .
- Experience integrating GHAS or equivalent application security tooling .
- Strong Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform .
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure .
- Strong knowledge of DevSecOps and enterprise platform engineering.
- Experience with Vault, CyberArk, Artifactory, and security/scanning platforms.
- Strong understanding of GitHub Enterprise governance and security.
- Excellent architectural and written design skills.
- Ability to produce high-quality ADRs, technical standards, and operational runbooks.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Relevant DevOps, cloud, GitHub, security, or architecture certifications are advantageous.
