An established engineering consultancy is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to guide the delivery of a substantial programme of work for a major oil and gas client.

Based in Brisbane, you’ll lead electrical engineering across a portfolio of projects supporting operating gas field infrastructure. This is a role for someone who enjoys staying close to detailed design while providing technical direction, planning team resources and working directly with the client.

What you’ll do

- Lead the electrical engineering team across multiple projects within a long-term client programme.
- Plan resources and priorities to meet design and delivery commitments.
- Oversee detailed electrical design, technical reviews and engineering quality.
- Work with the client to define scopes, resolve technical issues and support project delivery.




- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines on practical solutions for operating assets.
- Mentor engineers and provide explicit technical direction.

What you’ll bring

- A degree in Electrical Engineering and substantial experience in consulting or project delivery.
- Experience leading electrical design for oil and gas, mining or other heavy industrial facilities.
- Strong knowledge of power distribution and electrical systems for operating assets.
- The ability to manage competing project priorities and guide other engineers’ work.
- Confidence engaging directly with clients and communicating technical decisions clearly.
- RPEQ registration, or eligibility to obtain it, would be highly regarded.
