Senior Business Development Manager - Grain Industry

Job Overview

This one's for a true grain industry operator, someone who already knows the paddocks, the depots, the desks and the deals across Central and Northern NSW and up into Southern and Central Queensland. You'll bring your own book of relationships, build a largely greenfield pipeline, and own the full sales journey from first conversation to signed agreement before handing polished, ready-to-go customers over to our implementation team.

You'll be based in the grain belt and work remotely as part of a national team, out on the road most weeks meeting growers, attending field days and showing up at the industry events that matter. If you love being out among it rather than stuck behind a desk, this is your kind of role.

Key Responsibilities

Identifying and developing current business opportunities across Central and Northern NSW, extending into Southern and Central Queensland.

Putting your existing relationships to work - grain growers, storage and bulk handling facilities, buyers, processors, transport providers, exporters, packers, fert depots and end users.

Getting to know your customers' businesses inside and out, and pinpointing exactly where AgriChain adds real operational and commercial value.





Managing opportunities from first handshake through to commercial agreement, then handing over cleanly to our implementation team.

Representing AgriChain at customer meetings, field days, conferences and industry events.

Collaborating with the broader AgriChain team to deliver outstanding customer outcomes.

What We're Looking For

Well-established relationships with grain growers, storage and bulk handling operators, processors and end users (feedlots, flour mills, stockfeed manufacturers, grain packers and exporters) across Central and Northern NSW into Southern and Central Queensland.

Strong existing relationships with large-scale broadacre grain growers throughout the same region.

A proven track record in business development, account management, grain procurement, grain marketing or a similar commercial role within agriculture.

Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills.

A positive, proactive, results-driven attitude - happy to adapt, solve problems and get things done.

The ability to work independently while staying connected to a collaborative remote team.

Willingness for significant weekly travel, including overnight stays (a fully maintained vehicle is provided).

Nice to have

Experience selling enterprise software, Agtech or digital solutions into the grain industry.

A background in agronomy, agricultural merchandising, grain accumulation or bulk handling operations.

Familiarity with grain contracting, logistics or compliance/traceability processes across the supply chain.
