Our client is a well-regarded boutique chartered accounting and advisory firm based on Sydney's North Shore, providing an integrated offering across business services, tax, audit, financial planning and SMSF.

Having grown through a series of local acquisitions, the firm offers the scale and client opportunities of a larger practice while retaining a close-knit, partner-led culture with strong staff tenure.

The Opportunity

As part of the firm's succession planning, an prospect has arisen for an experienced Senior Manager or Director to progressively take over a combined client portfolio from two retiring Directors .

This creates a rare opportunity to step into an established, high-value client base with long-standing relationships, rather than having to build your own client portfolio.

The objective is for the successful person to progress toward equity partnership , making this particularly suited to someone looking for genuine ownership and leadership within their next firm.

Strong communication and relationship-management skills will be critical, with a carefully managed transition of existing clients taking place over time.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage a premium portfolio of active trading businesses, private clients and high-net-worth family groups





- Oversee complex tax matters including Division 7A, trust distributions and CGT concessions relating to business and property transactions

- Advise clients on structuring, tax planning and succession strategies

- Build trusted relationships with clients as they transition from the retiring Directors

- Lead, mentor and develop your own team within the firm's divisional structure

- Identify opportunities to expand existing relationships and generate new fee growth

- Contribute to the ongoing growth and succession strategy of the firm

About You

- CA qualified or equivalent, with strong technical experience across Business Services & Tax

- Currently operating at Senior Manager, Associate Director or Director/Partner level

- Strong track record managing senior client relationships and complex portfolios

- Commercial, personable and confident working directly with business owners and high-net-worth clients

- Leadership experience and the ability to develop a high-performing team

- Genuine ambition to progress toward equity partnership

- Background may be from a boutique, mid-tier or larger chartered firm
