Associate or Senior Associate, Commercial Litigation Lawyer

We represent one of the world's pre-eminent law firms, which is comprised of Band 1-rated partners within the Australian market. Due to the continued growth of our client's Commercial Litigation team, they are looking for bright and talented litigation lawyers to join their Sydney office.

Commercial Litigation

The Sydney Litigation team is regarded as one of Australia's leading practices and includes globally respected practitioners. They cover the full ambit of disputes including multi-jurisdictional litigation in proceedings before the superior courts, domestic and international arbitrations, class actions, contractual disputes, directors' duties, shareholder disputes, securities litigation, regulatory investigations and white collar crime. The team are regularly acknowledged as leaders in their field by independent legal directories.

Position Description

This role will see you practising in all spheres of commercial dispute resolution, working across a number of pre-eminent litigators.



As a member of the wider global litigation team, you will have exposure to lawyers, clients and matters from a range of jurisdictions.

You will work on matters including:

- class actions
- directors' duties
- misleading and deceptive conduct
- corporate governance investigations
- commercial disputes and securities actions
- inquiries and commissions of inquiries
- white-collar crime
- regulatory investigations (ASIC and ACCC).

Requirements

You will be a lawyer with between 2 and 9 years' proven experience in commercial litigation matters from a leading practice.

- An ability to take ownership of a matter
- A thorough knowledge of the Australian superior court system
- A developed commercial awareness .
