As Lead Electrical Engineer, you'll provide technical leadership while remaining actively involved in engineering design, testing and integration for the development of cutting-edge electric vehicles for the mining industry. You'll lead the design and integration of complex electrical systems from concept through to production, working alongside experts across mechanical, software, systems, manufacturing and data engineering to deliver innovative, production-ready vehicles.

Key responsibilities

- Lead the electrical engineering function across multiple vehicle development projects.
- Define electrical architecture alongside the Lead Engineer and other engineering discipline leads.
- Design and integrate low and high-voltage electrical systems, including 12V and 350V power distribution.
- Develop electrical interfaces for batteries, powertrains, ECUs, sensors, actuators and vehicle control systems.
- Support prototype builds, commissioning and validation activities.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues through structured root cause analysis.
- Produce and review wiring diagrams, schematics and harness documentation using Zuken E3 or similar software.
- Mentor and support a small team of electrical engineers.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant safety standards and industry regulations.
- Work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust, serviceable and manufacturable products.

About you

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline.
- Automotive electrical engineering experience.




- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and circuit design.
- Experience with wiring harnesses, connectors, sensors and vehicle control systems.
- Ability to develop and interpret wiring diagrams.
- Experience using electrical design and troubleshooting tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience with electric vehicles and high-voltage systems (desirable).
- Experience using Zuken E3 or similar electrical CAD software (desirable).
