Data Centre/Network Engineer - Thales HSM

- Initial 2-month contract with the potential view to extend
- Work from either Port Melbourne or Tullamarine location

We are seeking an experienced Data Centre or Network Engineer with specialist expertise in Thales Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) to support an onsite infrastructure assessment across their devices. This is a hands‑on engagement requiring strong knowledge of HSM hardware, firmware, security controls, logging, credentials and monitoring.

Key responsibilities

- Validate the inventory and configuration details of HSM devices
- Conduct physical inspections of hardware and associated infrastructure
- Assess hardware health and identify faults, risks or lifecycle concerns
- Validate firmware versions, device status and system configurations
- Review device and system logs for errors,



anomalies and operational issues
- Validate administrative and operational credentials
- Review and validate SNMP configuration, connectivity and alerting

Skills and experience

- Demonstrated hands‑on expertise with Thales Hardware Security Modules
- Robust data centre, infrastructure or network engineering background
- Experience inspecting, configuring and troubleshooting physical security appliances
- Knowledge of HSM firmware, administration, logging and credential management
- Experience validating SNMP configuration and monitoring
- Ability to assess hardware health and interpret system and device logs
