What you willdo as the Director:

- Lead a team ofprofessionals, role modelling our leadership behaviours,supporting a professional and collaborative workingenvironment, coaching, giving continuous feedback, resolvingconflict and facilitating career development
- Provide strategic,evidence-based advice to senior leaders, solve complex problemsand anticipate emerging policy, legislative, and operationalissues relating to the Division and the CDR.
- Coordinatehigh-quality advice and briefings for Executive members,government stakeholders and parliamentary processes, includingSenate Estimates, ministerial liaison and the CDR SteeringCommittee
- Oversee effectivegovernance, secretariat and reporting arrangements,anticipating and coordinating divisional input to the DigitalID and CDR Committee and other ACCC governance forums,including the Commission, Corporate Governance Board, Audit andRisk Committee and Executive Management Board asrequired.

In orderto succeed in the role, you will have:

Thisrole in particular requires demonstrated:

- Experience leadinga policy or program management team in a fast-paced and complexregulatory context.
- Understanding ofthe CDR functions of the ACCC under the Competition andConsumer Act 2010 and other relevant legislation, and ofthe objectives of the CDR program, or an ability to quicklyacquire this knowledge.
- Ability to leadstrategic projects and teams, exercise sound judgement andautonomy, solve complex problems, and manage competingpriorities to deliver timely, high-quality outcomes in anevolving environment.
- Ability to engagestrategically with the broader policy and regulatoryenvironment, anticipate emerging issues and adapt to immediateand future challenges.
- Highly developedwritten and verbal communication skills, with the ability topresent complex material clearly, accurately and with closeattention to detail.
- Ability to buildproductive relationships and collaborate with internal andexternal stakeholders to achieve organisational objectives,including representing the ACCC where required

Salary: $148,287 - $173,778 (plus 15.4%superannuation).
