Fixed Term 0.8FTE Staff Specialist - Intensive Care Services - Westmead Hospital - WSLHD | APPLY VIA E-CREDENTIAL

1. Possess or be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the college of Intensive Care Medicine as provided for in the Staff Specialists (State) Award.

2. Must have Australian Citizenship or Permanent Australian Residency.

3. A minimum of 1-year post-CICM Fellowship experience as a consultant or post graduate fellow in Intensive Care Medicine, within a tertiary ICU in Australia or New Zealand.

4. Demonstrated sound and broad clinical knowledge and experience in Intensive Care Medicine, with capacity for secure, independent consultant-level decision-making.

5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to work effectively and collegially within a multidisciplinary team.

6. Demonstrated ability to contribute effectively to the clinical and operational requirements of a busy tertiary Intensive Care Service and integrate positively within an established team.

7. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across specialty and organizational boundaries, with an understanding of the role of Intensive Care within the broader hospital and health service.

8. Demonstrated commitment to clinical governance, quality improvement, evidence-based practice and patient safety.

9.



Demonstrated commitment to supervision and teaching of junior medical staff and trainees, including simulation-based education.

10. Demonstrated interest and experience in research, audit and/or service development within Intensive Care Medicine.

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Staff Specialists (State) Award.
