Take ownership of safety across major projects in a key EH&S; leadership role based in Canberra.

Our Client is one of the most well-known brands in the building access and management controls technology industry who are building a new project team in Canberra. You’ll drive the planning, implementation and continuous improvement of EH&S; across multiple project sites. You’ll work closely with project management, supervisors, installers, tech engineers, subcontractors, clients and regulators to build a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with client requirements and WHS legislation.

Key responsibilities

- Provide hands‑on EH&S; leadership and advice across multiple project sites
- Conduct site safety walks, Toolbox Talks and safety audits
- Develop, review and approve SWMS, risk assessments, Take 5s and safety plans
- Lead incident, near‑miss and accident investigations and track corrective actions to completion
- Deliver site inductions, onboarding and EH&S; training
- Coach managers and supervisors to strengthen safety leadership
- Facilitate EHS committee meetings, represent the project at client EHS meetings, and deliver monthly performance and trend reporting
- Drive continuous improvement across EHS systems, processes and documentation

About you





- Minimum 5 years in an EH&S; management or advisory role
- Experience in project‑based, field services or construction environments
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, codes of practice and applicable standards
- Experience developing, implementing and auditing EH&S; management systems
- Strong incident investigation and root‑cause analysis capability
- Certificate IV in WHS minimum; Diploma or Degree highly regarded
- Strong communicator who can coach and influence at all levels
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Current NV1 security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one
- This is a permanent, full‑time role based fully on‑site in Canberra.
