Laserdyne Technologies Pty Ltd manufactures and develops state-of-the-art land, sea, and air-borne electro-optics systems for military and commercial applications. We are industry specialists in electro-optics, lasers, thin-film optics, electronics and mechanical systems. Established on the Gold Coast for more than 30 years, Laserdyne has a rich history of research, development, design and manufacture.

The opportunity:

n

We are looking for a spray paint prepper with experience in sanding, masking, cleaning and inspecting painted components.

n

- This is not a production line job and not basic fleet work. We:
n
- Work to tight defence specifications (e.g. APAS 0502 and related MIL/DEF(AUST) standards)
n
- Paint low-volume, high-complexity parts where first-pass quality and film-build control are non-negotiable
n

What you'll be doing:

n

n
- Masking and sanding complex technical parts with tight tolerances for key product lines (laser rangefinders, displays and associated hardware)
n
- Using and maintaining QA tools:n n
- Visual and instrument-assisted gloss/colour checks
n
- Completing coating records, batch/lot traceability, rework tags and sign-offs accurately
n
- Identifying and reporting non-conformances, and helping drive root-cause fixes rather than repeat rework
n
- Spray gun, blast equipment,



oven and air supply condition

- Working with engineers and production to:n

n
- Review new designs for paintability and masking strategy
n
- Improve jigs, fixtures and handling to reduce damage and touch-ups
n
