To deliver consistent, high-quality early childhood education and care through responsive, play-based practice, active supervision and strong relationships with children, families and colleagues.

Key responsibilities

n

Act in a manner that promotes the best interests, rights, safety, wellbeing and dignity of children.

n

Implement a high-quality play-based curriculum consistent with the service philosophy, National Quality Framework, Standards, EYLF V2.0, National Law and Regulations.

n

Be responsive to children's strengths, interests, needs, cultures, family contexts and individual learning pathways.

n

Contribute to the planning cycle, including observations, documentation, assessment, implementation, evaluation and critical reflection. Desirable experience with Digital childcare management systems (Eg. Owna)

n

Support children's agency, choice, inclusion, social and emotional wellbeing, communication, confidence and connection to community.

n

Maintain active supervision during routines, transitions, indoor and outdoor play, excursions and high-risk moments.

n

Support rest, relaxation, mealtimes, toileting, dressing, hygiene and physical care in ways that preserve dignity.

n

Contribute to learning environments that are safe, culturally responsive, sustainable, engaging and ready for children each day.

n

Build respectful,



authentic and professional relationships with families.

n

Work collaboratively with room educators, lead educators, the Educational Leader, Director, students and other professionals.

n

About you

n

ACECQA-approved Certificate III or Diploma qualification, or actively working towards as permitted by regulation.

n

Working With Children Check and National Police Check verified before commencement.

n

Approved First Aid, CPR, emergency asthma and anaphylaxis training, or capacity to obtain before commencement where required.

n

Child protection and mandatory child safe training current or completed as directed.

n

Experience in an approved education and care service is essential.

n

Knowledge of the National Quality Framework, Standards, EYLF V2.0 and child safe practices.

n

Ability to build responsive relationships with children and families.

n

Ability to work effectively as part of a room and whole-service team.

n

Sound communication, interpersonal and skilled judgement skills.

n

Commitment to reflective practice, ongoing learning and child safety.
