An opportunity is now available for an experienced Finance Officer to join their Newstead-based finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
n
The Appointment
n
Working as a Finance Officer, you will contribute to the effective functioning of the finance team, providing hands‐on support across accounts payable, accounts receivable, journals, accruals, expense management and credit card administration.
n
This is a varied transactional finance position requiring someone who can confidently manage day‐to‐day processing while maintaining accuracy, compliance and strong financial controls.

Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
- Processing supplier invoices through the automated accounts payable system and ensuring payments are completed within required timeframes.
n
- Managing and reconciling accounts payable and accounts receivable.
n
- Preparing and processing journals and accruals, including accurate journal coding.
n
- Monitoring outstanding customer accounts and following up payments as required.
n
- Responding to accounts payable and receivable queries from internal and external stakeholders.
n
- Reviewing revenue and accounts receivable processes to identify efficiencies and improvements.
n
- Ensuring transactions from integrated systems are correctly recorded within the Accounts Receivable system.
n
- Managing employee expense processes and maintaining expense management system users.
n
- Managing corporate credit cards, including applications, cancellations and transaction reconciliations.
n
- Maintaining finance registers, reports and supporting documentation.
n
- Supporting strong financial governance through regular review of revenue, expenditure, credit cards, expenses and travel claims.

The Appointee
n
To be successful, you will be an experienced Finance Officer, Accounts Officer or Finance Administrator with a solid transactional finance background.
n
Importantly, you must have demonstrated hands‐on experience with:
n
n
- Accounts payable
n
- Journals and journal processing
n
- Accruals
n
- Journal coding
n
- Accounts receivable and reconciliations
n
- Expense and credit card management
n
- Working within established financial policies, procedures and controls
n
n
You will have excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to confidently manage competing priorities and deadlines. Comfortable working with a range of internal and external stakeholders, you will be proactive in resolving queries and investigating discrepancies.
n
Above all, you will be a collaborative and dependable team member who can quickly become productive and add value throughout this 12-month fixed-term contract.
