UPA of NSW is building a directly employed casual team of Registered Nurses across Dubbofor Christmas, Current Year and beyond.

ABOUT THE ROLE
n

As a Registered Nurse, you'll provide high-quality,
evidence-based and resident-focused nursing care, supporting residents to lead active and meaningful lives as independently as possible. You'll also provide clinical guidance and support to the wider care team.
n
Your responsibilities may include:
n
n
- Providing clinical nursing care within your scope of practice
n
- Completing clinical assessments and identifying residents' clinical care needs
n
- Contributing to care plans and ensuring identified clinical needs and resident preferences are addressed
n
- Providing clinical support and advice to the Residential Aged Care team
n
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date resident records
n
- Providing clinical reports and recommendations to support positive resident outcomes
n
- Supporting and supervising care employees to maintain appropriate clinical competencies
n
- Building positive relationships with residents, families and other health professionals
n
- Supporting quality, safety and continuous improvement across the home
n
n
These responsibilities reflect the clinical practice, care planning and employee-supervision requirements of UPA's Registered Nurse position.
n
YOU'LL BE A GOOD FIT IF YOU:
n
n
- Are a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
n
- Hold a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification
n
- Have at least 12 months' post-registration experience
n
- Have a compassionate and respectful approach to supporting older people
n
- Have strong communication, interpersonal and active-listening skills
n
- Are organised and able to effectively prioritise your workload
n
- Are reliable and comfortable responding to available shifts
n
- Hold current Australian working rights
n
- Can work across a range of days and shift times
n
n
Previous residential aged-care experience, experience with LeeCare and Medsig, and current First Aid & CPR are desirable.

As this is casual employment, shifts will depend on operational requirements and your availability. Availability for morning, afternoon, night, weekend and public-holiday shifts will be highly regarded.
