EOI – Expression of Interest Customer Service Officer (Lifeguard) Position No. 767 Casual Band 3 $42.92 Based within Wellington Shire Council’s Culture and Leisure business unit, this casual role provides an opportunity to help deliver safe, welcoming and professional aquatic services across Aqua Energy and Wellington Shire rural pools. Are you a qualified and customer-focused lifeguard who can remain alert, communicate clearly and respond confidently to safety issues and emergencies? We are seeking a Customer Service Officer (Lifeguard) to join our casual aquatic team. As part of the Aqua Energy team, you will supervise patrons and user groups, manage aquatic risk, maintain water quality and provide professional customer service. You will also work collaboratively with colleagues and support trainees and new staff when required.

Key objectives of the role

- Actively supervise patrons and user groups and enforce pool rules when required.
- Manage aquatic risk and help provide a safe environment for swimmers.
- Test pool water quality in line with relevant regulations, policies and procedures.
- Operate, set up, pack up, care for and store pool equipment correctly.
- Respond promptly and confidently to emergencies, medical incidents and safety concerns.
- Provide professional customer service to patrons, user groups, members, schools and colleagues.
- Support trainees and new staff and explain relevant procedures when required.

Key Selection Criteria

- Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate, Level 2 First Aid and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation qualifications.
- Demonstrated knowledge of pool supervision, aquatic risk, pool equipment and water chemistry requirements.
- Strong communication, customer service and public relations skills.




- Ability to remain alert and respond confidently to emergencies, medical incidents and safety concerns.
- Ability to manage time, set priorities and work confidently with limited supervision.
- Ability to work collaboratively and support trainees and new staff when required.
