Due to ongoing business growth and increasing project requirements, we are seeking an experienced and reliable **Plasterer** to join our team on a full-time basis.**About the Role**As a Plasterer, you will be responsible for carrying out plastering and finishing works across various residential and commercial projects. The successful applicant will be required to work independently and as part of a team while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.**Key Responsibilities*** Read and interpret building plans, drawings and specifications to determine plastering requirements.* Prepare walls, ceilings and other surfaces for plastering and finishing.* Measure, mark and set out areas to be plastered.* Apply plaster, render and other plastering materials to walls and ceilings.* Install and repair plasterboard, wall linings and related materials.* Fix plasterboard sheets to walls and ceilings using appropriate methods and materials.* Apply base coats, finishing coats and decorative finishes as required.* Mix and prepare plastering compounds and materials to the required consistency.* Smooth,



level and finish plastered surfaces to achieve the required standard.* Repair cracks, holes, damaged plaster and other surface defects.* Sand and prepare finished surfaces for painting or further finishing.* Ensure plastering works are completed accurately and in accordance with project specifications.* Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.* Follow workplace health and safety requirements and use appropriate personal protective equipment.* Coordinate with other trades and site personnel to ensure works are completed efficiently and on schedule.**Skills & Experience**The successful candidate will ideally have:* Relevant trade qualification in plastering or equivalent experience.* At least 2 years of relevant plastering experience.* Demonstrated experience in plasterboard installation, plastering and finishing works.* Ability to read and understand building plans and specifications.* Good knowledge of plastering materials, tools and techniques.* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.* Good communication and time-management skills.* Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.* Australian construction experience will be highly regarded.**What We Offer*** Full-time ongoing employment.* Competitive salary based on skills and experience.* Stable employment with an established Melbourne plastering business.* Variety of residential and commercial projects.* Supportive and professional working workplace.* Opportunities to develop and further improve trade skills.**How to Apply**If you are an experienced Plasterer who is looking for a full-time opportunity with an established plastering business, we would like to hear from you.
