Are you ready to take the first step into the transport industry? We are offering a unique opportunity for a motivated and safety-focused individual to join our team as a Transport Apprentice. Over 24 months, you will gain hands‐on experience, develop essential skills, and work towards earning your Heavy Combination (HC) driver licence, setting you up for a successful long‐term career with MJ Mahon Transport.

What You will Do:

n

n
- Assist experienced drivers with day-to-day transport operations.
n
- Complete nationally recognised training in transport – Certificate III in Driving Operations.
n
- Learn to operate , clean, and maintain several types of vehicles and equipment including having access to a fully maintained company utility vehicle during working hours.
n
- Conduct minor vehicle Safety Inspections
n
- Conduct minor mechanical repairs.
n
- Distribution of Truck fuel and additives
n




- Undertake safe loading and unloading.
n
- Gain real-world driving experience under supervision.
n
- Progress toward gaining a Forklift, MR ,HR and HC licence with full company support.
n

What We are Looking For:

- A genuine interest in the transport industry
n
- A current, clean, and valid driver's licence (minimum Green Provisional Licence)
n
- Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures
n
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and cheerful outlook
n
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team.
n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
n
- IT skills – Microsoft office
n
