2027 School Photography Season | Casual | NSW

FHR Recruitment is partnering with Leading Image School Photos to build its NSW photography team for the 2027 school photography season.

n

We're looking for experienced photographers and people with strong photography and customer service skills who are interested in casual, seasonal work across metropolitan and regional NSW.

n

If you have previous school, group, event, sports or high-volume photography experience, we particularly want to hear from you.

n

School Photographers - Casual | $33-$50/hr + Allowances

n

The Opportunity

n

As a Casual School Photographer, you'll work as part of the Leading Image NSW team, photographing students and staff across a variety of schools.

n

Depending on your experience, your work may include:

n

n
- Individual student and staff portraits
n
- Class and group photography
n
- Setting up and packing down photography equipment
n
- Working alongside experienced photographers and crew leaders
n
- Engaging with students, teachers and school staff
n
- Following established photography processes and workflows
n
- Basic digital administration associated with photography days
n
- Travel throughout NSW, including some regional and overnight work
n

n

School photography involves early starts, but this can also mean early finishes.

n

Training and preparation will be provided ahead of the 2027 photography season.

n

What We're Looking For

n

We're looking for reliable, energetic people who genuinely enjoy photography and working with others.

n

Previous professional photography experience is highly regarded, particularly school and group photography experience.

n

To be successful, you'll ideally be:

n

- Confident behind the camera
n
- Friendly and comfortable working with children
n
- A strong communicator who can engage with students, teachers and school staff
n
- Reliable,



organised and punctual
n
- Comfortable working to schedules and established processes
n
- A good team player
n
- Comfortable with basic computer and administration tasks
n
- Available to travel when required
n

n

You'll also need:

n

n
- A current driver's licence
n
- A current NSW Working with Children Check (Employee), or the ability to obtain one
n
- A National Police Check, or the ability to obtain one
n
- Full working rights in Australia
n

n

Pay & Conditions

n

Casual rates range from $33 to $50 per hour, depending on the work being performed, level of responsibility and experience.

n

Applicable travel and other allowances are also paid.

n

Experienced photographers who can take on additional responsibilities, particularly group photography, will have opportunities to work at the higher end of the rate structure.
