APG Workforce are currently seeking an Assistant Breeder Farm Manager based at Peats Ridge!

We are after someone who is motivated and hands-on to support the day-to-day operations of a busy breeder farm. This role is ideal for someone with strong livestock experience who enjoys working both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

n

- Assist in the daily management of breeder stock, ensuring animal health and welfare standards are maintained
n
- Oversee feeding, watering, and general husbandry practices
n
- Support staff supervision, training, and coordination of daily tasks
n
- Conduct routine farm checks, monitor bird performance, and report any issues
n
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with biosecurity and safety standards
n
- Assist with equipment operation and general farm maintenance
n
- Promote and uphold protected work practices across the site
n
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives on the farm

Required Skills & Experience:

n

n
- Previous experience in livestock or farm management
n
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
n
- Current driver's licence (tractor operation experience highly regarded)
n
- Proven animal husbandry skills
n
- Strong leadership and communication abilities
n
- Poultry industry experience (desirable but not essential)
n
- Certificate III in Poultry Production (or willingness to obtain)
n
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
