TerryWhite Chemmart Albany Creek is looking for a Retail Manager to join our leadership team, and we would love to find someone who is excited to grow with us.

This is a hands‑on leadership role combining team development, commercial performance, merchandising, strategic planning and exceptional customer care — but just as importantly, it is a role for someone who enjoys bringing people together, sharing ideas and helping a busy pharmacy become even better.

Importantly, we believe good management requires time to actually manage.

While our Retail Manager will be visible, approachable and involved on the shop floor, we also recognise that excellent leadership cannot happen entirely between customers and daily tasks. Dedicated time and support are provided for planning, analysis, training, administration and the strategic work needed to run a successful retail pharmacy.

About the role

Working collaboratively with our Store Manager and Dispensary Manager, you will help lead a retail team of approximately 10–12 people and have a genuine voice in the overall direction of the pharmacy.

Our leadership style is collaborative rather than siloed. We want our Store Manager, Retail Manager and Dispensary Manager to work closely together, share ideas, learn from one another and create a positive, unified team focused on our customers, our people and the continued growth of the pharmacy.

Your responsibilities will include:

Leading, supporting and developing our retail team

Building positive staff relationships and helping create a strong, welcoming team culture

Monitoring retail KPIs, departmental performance and sales opportunities

Identifying opportunities for growth within both strong-performing and underperforming categories

Category planning, development and management

Implementing catalogues, promotions, planograms and merchandising to TerryWhite Chemmart standards

Maintaining and managing our Electronic Shelf Label system

Developing and reviewing seasonal promotional activity and using results to make each campaign even better

Supporting retail health promotions that complement TerryWhite Chemmart CareClinic and skilled services

Building staff knowledge and confidence around OTC products, new products, campaigns and pharmacy programs

Helping the team understand the products and services we are promoting — not simply putting them on the shelf

Shared oversight of stock control, ordering and inventory management with the broader leadership team

Direct supplier ordering,



wholesaler ordering and special-request ordering

Assisting with stocktake and other stock‑maintenance activities

Supporting banking and relevant retail administration

Helping prepare the pharmacy for QSPP and maintaining strong operational standards

Supporting recruitment and development of new retail team members

Maintaining strong, open communication across the pharmacy

Building relationships with our customers and the wider Albany Creek community

More than day‑to‑day retail management

We want our next Retail Manager to help us build and maintain an organised retail operating calendar incorporating areas such as:

Seasonal campaigns and promotions

Staff training and product education

Stock and ordering maintenance

Store presentation and hygiene standards

Team development and engagement

Goal setting and performance reviews

Staff feedback and communication

Recognition and celebration of team achievements

About you

Current community pharmacy retail management experience and/or experience and knowledge within the TWCM brand is preferred; however, highly experienced 2ICs or Assistant Managers — are strongly encouraged to apply.

Hours

38 hours per week, Monday–Friday.

A traditional five-day roster is available; however, we are also open to discussing a compressed four-day working week for the right candidate.
