Details: An exciting opportunity has become available within Transport Canberra for an experienced and motivated Spare Parts Supervisor. This pivotal role is responsible for leading a small team and ensuring the efficient management of inventory and parts supply operations that support Transport Canberra's fleet services.

As the Spare Parts Supervisor, you will oversee the allocation, supervision and monitoring of daily work activities, ensuring operational priorities are met in a timely and effective manner. You will play a key role in managing inventory holdings, coordinating the procurement and supply of parts, and maintaining sufficient stock levels to support business continuity and minimise operational downtime. You will be required to assist and participation in the end of financial year stocktake.

Success in this role will require strong leadership skills, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to build productive working relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent organisational and time management skills, robust communication and interpersonal abilities, and a high level of attention to detail. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, be able to manage competing priorities, and consistently deliver high-quality outcomes within tight timeframes.

Eligibility/Other requirements:





- Driver's licence (C-class) is mandatory.
- Hold a forklift licence (or the ability to obtain).
- A Certificate III in Warehousing Operations or the ability to obtain is desirable.
- The ability to work rostered shifts, from early morning to late at night including weekend rostered overtime.
- Industry experience in the automotive parts and accessories, warehousing or heavy vehicle maintenance fields will be highly regarded.
- Experience in computerised inventory record keeping systems (IMS) is desirable.
- A pre-employment criminal history check will be conducted.
- This position does require a pre-employment medical.
- Visa holders are eligible to apply for both permanent and temporary roles. Those with eligible visas may be considered for permanent employment, while individuals with temporary residency or limited-duration visas may be offered permanent employment for the duration of their visas.

Notes: A merit pool may be established from this recruitment process and may be used to fill identical vacancies that arise within the next 12 months. Selection may be based on the assessment of the application and referee reports only.
