We are currently recruiting for an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join Northamptonshire Children's Trust, working within their specialist Children in Care – Court Team.

n

This is a specialist role based across Kettering and Northampton, with the successful Social Worker responsible for managing a caseload involving court proceedings and supporting children and families throughout the court process.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Managing a caseload of court proceedings
n
- Completing parenting assessments
n
- Completing risk assessments
n
- Completing viability assessments
n
- Preparing court statements and final evidence
n
- Preparing and reviewing care plans
n
- Managing court proceedings and attending court hearings
n
- Working collaboratively with children, families, legal professionals and other agencies
n
- Ensuring all assessments, reports and records are completed to a high professional standard
n

Requirements

n

n
- Qualified Social Worker
n
- Current Social Work England registration
n




- Substantial and recent experience of court work
n
- Proven experience managing Children in Care court proceedings
n
- Experience completing parenting, risk and viability assessments
n
- Experience preparing court statements, final evidence and care plans
n
- Confidence attending and participating in court hearings
n

Please note: This is not a generic Children in Care role. Applicants must have direct and recent experience of court work. Applications from candidates without relevant court experience will not be considered.
