Environmental Lead – Queensland

Pure Environment is a young, energetic and collaborative Australian environmental and sustainability consultancy supporting clients across infrastructure, transport, water, construction and property.

We provide practical, commercially focused advice across environmental management, approvals, compliance, sustainability and climate resilience.

The Role

You will:

- Lead environmental advisory, approvals, compliance and management projects.

- Provide senior technical advice and review.

- Manage project scope,



budgets, programmes and client relationships.

- Advise clients on Queensland environmental legislation and approvals.

- Develop and maintain client relationships across Queensland.

- Identify opportunities and contribute to proposals, tenders and new work.

- Mentor team members and support the growth of our Queensland team.

- Bring initiative, commercial thinking and an entrepreneurial approach to developing the business.

This is not a pure business development role, but you will be expected to play an active role in building relationships, identifying opportunities and helping win work.

About You

You will ideally have:

- A relevant environmental, engineering, planning or natural resources qualification.

- Typically 8–15+ years' relevant experience.

- Strong knowledge of Queensland environmental legislation and approvals.

- Experience across infrastructure, transport, water, energy, construction or major development.

- Strong project, commercial and client management skills.

- Experience with proposals, tenders and business development.

- Leadership or mentoring experience.

- Strong communication and technical writing skills.

- An entrepreneurial spirit, with the confidence to take ownership, develop relationships and help build a growing consultancy.

An established network across Brisbane or South East Queensland would be strongly advantageous.
