Relic Ecological Restoration - Brisbane QLD

We're looking for a Leading Hand to run a small field crew day to day. You'll report directly to our directors and be the person on the ground making the site work.

Key responsibilities

Lead a crew of 2-4 across weed control, planting and maintenance works

Set up and run the day - toolbox talks, task allocation, keeping the crew safe and productive

Complete daily WHS and site documentation accurately and on time

Mix and apply herbicides safely and correctly, and supervise those working under your licence

Maintain vehicles, plant and equipment, and flag problems before they become breakdowns

Represent Relic on site with clients, consultants and landholders

Report site conditions, progress and issues back to the directors

About you

Have solid hands-on experience in bush regeneration, revegetation or natural area management

Hold or can obtain ChemCert/ACDC, chainsaw and first aid tickets

Hold a Cert III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management, or equivalent experience

Have a manual driver's licence and are confident towing and driving 4WD

Can identify local weed species and native vegetation, and understand why the distinction matters

Are genuinely ready to lead - comfortable directing a crew, giving feedback and setting the standard

Are organised enough to keep documentation accurate without being chased

Are physically fit and comfortable working in hot, wet,



steep and remote conditions

We restore degraded land - weed control, assisted regeneration, revegetation, erosion control and long-term maintenance - on projects ranging from council reserves and waterway corridors to offset sites and private landholdings. We've built a strong reputation with councils, consultants and private clients for the quality of our work on the ground and the rigour of the documentation behind it.
