The Chief Corporate Services Officer is an executive level role that shapes and enables TAFE Queensland to achieve its strategic objectives and deliver support services that are clear, simple and consistent. This position is accountable to lead key corporate service functions across legal, marketing, brand management, customer experience, procurement, asset planning, and corporate planning and reporting.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and as a member of the Executive Management Committee, you will partner with senior leadership to offer high-quality strategic advice, enterprise-wide governance and performance oversight. This includes providing advice to the CEO and TAFE Queensland’s Board on enterprise risk management, governance, internal audit and assurance matters. Your role is to ensure corporate functions operate as strategic enablers, fostering performance, accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
This role requires strategic vision, sound judgement, exceptional people leadership and the ability to balance competing priorities while delivering measurable outcomes. The Chief Corporate Services Officer plays a critical role in supporting TAFE Queensland’s mission to deliver quality education and training that supports the careers of students and the development of Queensland’s industries and communities. The role is also responsible for driving organisational effectiveness and contributing to the overall operational efficiency of TAFE Queensland, enabling sustainable performance, informed decision-making and excellent outcomes across the organisation.

TAFE Queensland is the largest and most experienced vocational education and training provider in the state, with a history of serving Queensland communities for over 140 years.
Last year TAFE Queensland enrolled over 139,000 students including 6,000 international students across a network of over 60 locations across the state. Key Capabilities for the Chief Corporate Services Officer:
- Extensive executive leadership experience in large, complex organisations, with a record of developing and leading enterprise strategy and organisational performance.
- Proven ability to lead high-performing multidisciplinary teams in demanding and politically sensitive environments, exercising sound judgement, effectively managing competing priorities and delivering results under pressure.
- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-wide governance, risk, compliance, legal and commercial frameworks that strengthen organisational performance, safeguard organisational interests, and support accountable, transparent and ethical decision making.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute organisational strategy within a business of significant scale and/or geographic dispersal.
- Extensive experience in identifying, managing, and resolving complex strategic and operational challenges, developing practical solutions that mitigate risk, improving performance, and support organisational objectives.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, influence, and relationship management skills,
with proven success engaging and consulting with government, boards, stakeholders, professional bodies, customers, and the broader community.
- A track record of building high-performing, values-led teams and creating a culture of innovation, accountability, inclusion and customer focus.
