About Us

Australian Gold Capital is a well-established and growing national retail business operating in the physical gold and precious-metals industry.

We buy and sell gold and silver bullion and gold jewellery through our retail locations and online business.

No previous experience with gold, jewellery or precious metals is required. Comprehensive paid training will be provided.

The Position

We are looking for a confident, reliable and commercially minded person to take responsibility for our Brisbane store.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing position rather than a traditional people-management role. You will work directly with customers, buy and sell products, perform calculations and pricing, process transactions, and take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the location.

The role involves high-value products and transactions, online orders and significant individual responsibility, so accuracy, judgement and professionalism are particularly important.

You will receive comprehensive training in our products, systems and procedures. Once fully trained, you will be trusted to operate the store independently and take ownership of its day-to-day operation.

Previous people-management experience is not required. We are more interested in finding someone with the maturity,



commercial judgement and attitude to take responsibility for the store once trained.

What We're Looking For

- Good numeracy, arithmetic and confidence with calculations and using a calculator

- Solid customer service and communication skills

- Commercial awareness and sound judgement

- Reliable, organised and accountable

- Strong attention to detail

- Comfortable taking responsibility and making decisions

- Able to follow procedures accurately and consistently

- Confident dealing with a wide range of customers

- Comfortable handling high-value products and transactions

- Basic computer skills

- Able to work independently once trained

Previous experience in retail sales, customer service, cash handling, financial services, banking, jewellery, bullion or pawnbroking would be helpful, but is not essential.

We are looking for the right person rather than a particular industry background.
