The Opportunity

The Community Engagement Team, within the Partnerships and Engagement Portfolio at The Kids Research Institute Australia works to ensure the voices of consumers, families, young people and communities are embedded across the Institute's research and decision-making. The team partners with researchers and stakeholders to create embed opportunities for community involvement, helping to improve the quality, relevance and impact of child health research.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

- Coordinate community involvement across research and Institute initiatives.
- Build solid relationships with consumers, families, communities and researchers.
- Recruit, onboard and support community members in advisory and research activities.
- Deliver community events, workshops, training and engagement activities.
- Support advisory groups, reporting, evaluation and continuous improvement programs.

Bases at our offices in Perth Children’s Hospital, this is an ongoing, part time (0.5 FTE) offer.

About You

- Relevant qualification or experience in community engagement, public health or a related field.
- Experience building strong relationships with community members, stakeholders or researchers.
- Proven ability to coordinate projects, programs, events or engagement activities.
- Understanding of consumer and community involvement principles and best practice.
- Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/database systems.
